Birds

I started drawing this series of birds back in November 2017 as a way to offset the daily grind I was experiencing at the time. It’s become a regular habit and part of my week. Not everyday, but often. At the time of writing this (October, 2019), I’ve drawn over 100 birds. All these drawings are on A4 cartridge paper using coloured pencils, a mixture of Caran D’ache, Faber Castell and Derwent (coloursoft). I try to keep them quick, fresh and spontaneous, taking around 30-40 minutes, although that can slip, depending on the bird and the level of finish I’m after.

There are plans to have a selection of prints available in my shop soon. And also, time permitting, I will happily consider commissions.
